Friends of the Library Info

The Sabinal Public Library, serving Uvalde County and surrounding areas, is funded by donations, fees and grants.

As a Friend of the Library (FOL), you have the opportunity to change the world around you by supporting library programs, especially for children, and helping raise funds through membership fees, book sales, and other activities. Some of the activities by the Friends of the Library include:

• Managing the Book Sales on behalf of the Library. Donated books are sorted throughout the year by FOL members.

• Funding special programs, including the delightful Holiday Pictures with Santa!

• Special designated projects for the library. FOL is working towards purchasing a sign on behalf of the library to better inform the public of upcoming events. future projects may include items such as new bookshelves, upgraded furniture for reading areas, and other improvements.

Membership include Individual, Family, Corporate, and Work, with a range of privileges that include website listing of member names and advertisements, use of the Meadows Reading Room, and memorial and honoree gift recognitions.

Friends of the Library Membership

Membership will help the library continue to provide quality library materials, technology, and services for the community. The Friends of the Library (FOL) raises funds through book sales, raffles, membership fees, and other functions.

Individual Membership - $25 yearly
Included on website list as a Friend of the Library member

Family Membership - $50 yearly
Provides 5 memorial and honoree gifts yearly
Family names included on website and Friends of the Library member
Two priority booking dates yearly for the Meadows Reading Room

Corporate Membership - $100 yearly
Provides unlimited memorial and honoree gifts
Priority booking dates for the Meadows Reading Room
Advertisement on website and in all library publications as a Friend of the Library

Individual Work Membership: A yearly total of 5 volunteer hours of work on FOL projects (i.e. book sales, quilt raffle, etc.) and a good standing library member ensures your name will be listed on the library website as a Friend.
